THE PINK DRIVE

The Holiday Season is a time for family, for love, and for giving. Each year, DSEF hosts an annual Operation Giveback to benefit the New Orleans community. This year, we are dedicating our efforts to the young women and girls of New Orleans.

In August, the New Orleans City Council voted unanimously to remove the sexist 'pink tax' from menstrual products and diapers, per Council Resolution 33,090. In honor of this effort, GIRLS NOLA will be hosting a Pink Driveto benefit young people across our community.

With the support of Mayor Latoya Cantrell and the office of Youth and Families, as well as Councilwoman Kristin Palmer. Our GIRLS NOLA team is excited about giving back to our community and helping those in need this holiday season.

We will be accepting feminine personal hygiene donations such as sanitary napkins, tampons, panty liners, underwear, and cozy socks, as we will be distributing personal hygiene and self-care kits to girls across the city. Donated items can dropped off to the 1st floor lobby of New Orleans City Hall.
